I seem to have all the basics in place.
I went back over the sweater and fur coat with the 0.3 mm mechanical pencil to try to force more graphite onto the paper. I have roughed in the hair on both subjects, placed the light-drenched window components, and filled in the glasses (I like to wait toward the end of the drawing for the glass.). I blended the faces and deepened the shadows of the darker areas of the skin.
Next will be a day or two of fine tuning across the entire drawing. When I think I'm getting close, I'll copy the drawing on the flat-bed scanner and take the copy to work. It is amazing the little problems that suddenly show up under the bright office fluorescent lights.
The end is in sight!
